Stargazy Pie Mounted Print. Our stargazy pie design featuring a Cornishware striped dish and a stargazy pie complete with mackerel heads and tails. According to legend, one December in the 16th Century the seas around Cornwall were too violent to take out the fishing boats and the local villagers in Mousehole were starting to get hungry. Then one brave fisherman, Tom Babcock, braved the storms alone and returned with a miraculous catch of fish. This was enough to feed the whole village. The villagers baked a huge pie and left the fish heads poking out of the crust looking as though they were staring up to heaven, and called it the stargazy pie.
Available in two sizes; A4 plus Mount, or A3 plus Mount.
Professionally printed in Cornwall at high resolution to either A4 or A3 size and then mounted in an acid free, white mount.
