I’m KayCee (aka Karen). I’m the ‘Some Gull’ of Gullz R Loud. I live and work in the village of Gulval, near Penzance. The ideas for my designs come from the stunning Cornish land and seascapes around me.

My life as an artist/designer began as a hobby; I started glass painting in the evenings and at weekends to relax and escape from a very stressful time in the workplace. After exhausting the friends I could gift my creations to, I began at local craft fairs.
In 2018, I grasped the opportunity to take voluntary redundancy and turned by part time hobby craft into a full time creative business. Modern digital printing technology meant I was now able to create a range of beautiful, yet practical, homewares, textiles, clothing and gifts from my original acrylic paintings, and Gullz R Loud was born. In 2020 I opened the Gullz R Loud shop in Fore Street, St Ives, where you can find our full range of products as well as beautiful gift and craft ideas by other Cornish makers and artists.
Gulls are like Marmite; people either love or hate them, and almost everyone has (or knows someone who has had) a ‘Gull Experience’.
I’m passionate about keeping things local; everything I sell in produced in the UK, and as much as possible is made and printed in Cornwall (either by myself or with the help of local printers and makers).
